The special high-speed adapted ring marking system with adjustable ink jet head support enables ring marking of the optical fiber from one side at speeds up to 1400 m/min. The ring pattern distance and the ring size are freely configurable on the computer screen. The ring marking system can be seamlessly integrated into the fiber coating process, providing curing units after the ink jet printhead and the ink applicator. If ring marking is done in a separate process, the ink jet head support is installed in front of the curing unit.
The ring marking system includes an ink jet device with a specially adapted microprogram for high-speed ring marking, a precisely positionable support for the ink jet head as well as programmable control electronics for triggering “print go” signals according to the desired ring marking pattern and for connecting it to the ink jet device.
Triggers a warning signal as the ink level drops below minimum.
The standard version provides indicators for the fiber tension at the pay-off and take-up. The extended version includes a capacitive tension sensor in front of the capstan and an alarm signal generator with adjustable maximum threshold. Thus, option HGM enhances operational reliability, e.g., by triggering an alarm signal if fiber tension rises due to clogged ink nozzles.
For spare containers, a special rack is available providing the facility to take up up to 12 ink containers in an easily accessible position for quick use and also for storage of ink or coating material. A compressed air supply with support for a solvent container is provided for rinsing ink tanks.
Allows permanent supervision of the ink application quality by either single axis (DMK-X) or double axis (DMK-XY) diameter measurement on the colored fiber. Automatic input of the data to statistical evaluation is provided.
The in-line proof tester allows precise fiber tension proofing during coloring or rewinding by applying a defined force onto the fiber. The proof tester SPC can be integrated into (existing) coloring or rewinding lines or operated as an independent proof testing line with a pay-off and a take-up unit.
The proof tester impresses with high-speed fiber processing at speeds of up to 3200 m/min and an adjustable fiber tension force of up to 25 N, which can be adapted according to different fiber characteristics. Break positions are identified for analysis, while an optional cutback function allows rewinding after a fiber break to compile the nearest greatest possible packing size.
The essential components of the proof tester are an inlet brake capstan, a deflection pulley assembly and an output capstan for supplying the fiber under controlled low tension into the take-up unit.
The extension HZT is an arrangement for maintaining constant temperature of buffer or resin material for the optical fiber line series GFP or FRP.
Optical fibers can be coated (tight buffered) individually or jointly in groups. For this purpose, a special resin coating head is used instead of the coloring head. Available standard system components allow two stage online tight buffering in a single operation. A resin pressure control maintains a constant outside diameter throughout the entire processing speed range.
The cable marker KS 42 C-FM FRM is a high‑performance marker to be installed in combination with a fiber ribbon production line and has been especially designed for the purpose of high-speed gravure printing on hot fiber ribbons.
